i have built 2 new servers ready cluster (server 2012 r2), both have 2 nic ports built in plus pci quad port 1gb nic's in them. 2 standard nic ports disabled. quad port nic's teamed in windows. created virtual switch each server using team. cisco switches configured correctly teaming. seems work ok dhcp, set static ip on vswitch loses network connectivity. says unknown network , doesn't detect domain, can't connect via rdp. any ideas or suggestions? " the static ip lan adapters (vswitch1-lan) on both servers works if disable team (team2 - live migration) links them both together. hi, i have laptop windows 7 32 bit sp1 not reporting wusu. have tried running gpupdate /force, wuauclt /reportnow, wuauclt /resetauthorization /detectnow when try check windows update manually clicking check update laptop keeps on checking update hours not come message, keeps on searching. on wsus client showing installed status 89% when check on client control panel>programs>program , features> installed updates > not show result, no updates. but control panel>system , security>windows update>view update history show number of kb listed. can you post content of windowsupdatelog.log file? thanks, umesh.s.k Windows Server  >  WSUS

hi, i know if there gpo make wireless startup first before programs, before logon. thanks. luiz one of our biggest issues migrating windows 7 has been problem of laptops needing logon before laptop connect wireless. therefore impossible logon domain user using wireless connection. finally, found simple solution. 1 . set wireless profile. we use wpa-2 psk aes. use whatever best suits needs.   2 . check wlan profile name. in command prompt, name of profile running netsh wlan show profile 3 . create regisrty entry run regedit find hklm\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run registry key. add string value above mentioned key. call (wlan prelogon), value should %comspec% /c netsh wlan connect name="<profile name>" of course, replace <profile name> profile name created.   4 . add gpo if have lot of computers configure this, add group policy. add computer config ...

hi, having issues this. cannot add folder dfs root, keeps coming error \\domain.co.uk\dfs_share\profile: folder target \\dfs_share\profile cannot added folder. directory not empty????? the folder located in root of dfs share "c:\dfs\dfs_share" , link has been added lost due error when trying replicate server. the directory isnt empty have tried other shares on local server (which not empty) , works fine. why not folder? thanks mac anyone? hello all here bit of intro info think relevant q to understand situation . just taken on responsibility our wsus , first job asked change "range" of our products to: win2003, xp, win7 , office 2007. classification used before were: feature packs, update rollups, service packs, security updates , critical updates. changed (as requested) security , critical updates. finally question :d when de-selected classifications , run cleanup wizard still can see feature packs , update rollups needed updates on "update overview" on many computers. went in "all updateds" , sorted updated classification , declined feature , update rollups updates still appear needed updates. there can not appear needed updates ?i mean declined , not needed surly should not showing @ ? thanks when de-selected classifications , run cleanup wizard still can see feature packs , update rollups needed updates on "update overview" on many computers. yep...
