hello, about move network nap/802.1x before want come way image.  using dos network boot system can connect our network , using ghost image our workstations.  moving 802.1x/nap, setup not work since not on correct network our server, since sent our guest vlan failed authentication. i hoping new windows pe 2.0 had kind of supplicant nap, see on various forums doesn't support it.   what are people using network boot imaging which has a nap supplicant?  don't want setup a switch with static vlan assignments.   faced same dilemma. , basicly came down choices; * find way install using pxe , boot image methods supports certificates, eap , whole "chebang" ... * choose design "guestzone" no access inet access , f12 pxe boot. * lock away install-network in secure location, office / part of building. we chose middleground - can support pxe throughout building - computers without cert/8021x/nap capability connecting network find network 2 things work; * internet *...

hi all,   clients request, added rd web access existing rdsh farm.  i placed rd web access role on same server running rd gateway.     when use remote desktop connection client on computer externally connect remote environment through rd gateway, i'm seeing message of "this computer can't connect remote computer".   if connect internally, connection errors out.  i believe being caused rd web access.  has else run same issue? hi, are using 2012 or 2008r2.  have configured certificate both iis , rd gateway. best regards, Windows Server  >  Remote Desktop Services (Terminal Services)

hi, i'm trying find out what's best practice and/or suggestions replicating dns zones in ad environment.  in our environment, root domain set replicate "all dns servers in forest" while child domains configured replicate "to domain controllers in active directory domain child.domain.local. dns servers configured forwarders forward "all other dns domains" requests respective isp's dns servers. 1.  should root dns zone replicating dns servers in forest.  allow child domain admin edit, delete or add records in root dns zone since it's being replicated dns server under control? 2.  should child domains "change zone replication scope" changed "to domain controllers in active directory domain child.domain.local" "to dns servers in active directory domain child.domain.local."  i've read "to domain controllers in active directroy domain.." legacy compatibility , shouldn't used if of domain...

we have problem dns on our domain controllers.  our domain functional level windows server 2003, mix of 2003 r2, 2008 , 2008 r2 domain controllers.  our dns zones set replicate every domain controller in forest.  seems on occasion, dns on 1 of domain controllers stop accepting dynamic updates , may stop servicing lookup requests.  number of 4004 errors on dc.  other this, domain controller seems functioning normally.  because machines cannot update dynamic dns entries on given domain controller, dynamic registrations in site scavenged dns, if haven't caught , rebooted dc.  rebooting seems fix issue, restarting dns server service or directory services not.  idea problem or fix is? hello, does specific server use preferred , not other dns server on nic? if yes, have tried changing order , used dns server preferred , secondary? is maybe multihomed, more 1 ip address or nic used? similar threads: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/for...
